Port Hueneme is home to the Naval Construction Training
Center, an interservice military trade school specializing in construction
skills and disaster preparedness training directly enhancing Department of
Defense readiness.
This design-build contract called for the complete
renovation of a 160-room existing enlisted barracks, consisting of four
buildings (wings): two 3-story and two 2-story. Additional work was
required at the center core, which consisted of a quarterdeck and a
mechanical room. The completed facility houses sailors and air force
students attending the Construction Mechanic “A” School. |
