This full-service regional high school
facility was unique in its architectural design, which utilized a “village”
concept and concentrated grade levels into adjacent spaces. Virtually
every structure radiated out from a campus center point, creating a
semi-arc layout. In addition, classroom structures were “stepped” on
three different levels.
This multiple-phased project involved new
construction of 21 building on a 40 acre, undeveloped site. Buildings
ranged from one- to three-stories high and were constructed of concrete,
masonry, and structural steel. C. E. Wylie Construction Co.
also completed the site development, which included utilities, struts,
sports fields, and landscaping.
